Use the Panatag employee app
How employees sign in to the Panatag app, punch in with location or offline, use Face ID, manage notifications and privacy, sign out, and delete their account.
Updated October 20, 2026
The Panatag app is the employee portal on a phone. Employees use it to punch in and out, see payslips, file leave and get documents. The same portal also runs in a browser at ess.panatag.app.
Early access: the iOS and Android apps are in early access and are not yet open to everyone in the App Store or Google Play. Until they are, employees use the portal in their phone’s browser at ess.panatag.app. It has the same payslips, leave, documents and punch screens. Your Panatag contact can tell you when the apps open up.
Who can do this: Employees invited to self-service. See Invite employees to the employee portal.
- Open ess.panatag.app in your phone’s browser. If you are in the app early access, open the Panatag app instead.
- Sign in with the email and password you set when you accepted your invite.
If you forgot your password, tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen.
Punch in and out
- Open the Punch tab.
- Tap Punch in at the start of your shift and Punch out at the end.
The app reads your location only at the moment you punch, so your employer can confirm where you clocked in. It never tracks you in the background. If your employer turned on clock-in photos, the app asks for your consent before it takes the first photo.
Punching without a signal
If your phone is offline, the app saves the punch and sends it when you’re back online. Some punches can’t be sent:
- A punch saved more than 72 hours ago is rejected. Ask HR to add it for you.
- A punch timed more than 5 minutes in the future is rejected. Ask HR to add it for you.
If your phone’s clock is wrong, the app blocks punching until you fix it. Set your phone’s date and time to update automatically, then try again.
Punching from a browser works only if your employer turned on web punch. During early access, ask your employer to turn on Web clock-in if you don’t have the app.
Face ID and fingerprint unlock
If your phone has Face ID, Touch ID or a fingerprint set up, the app asks for it each time you open it. Your face and fingerprint never leave your phone; Panatag only learns whether the unlock worked. To sign in with your password instead, tap Use password instead.
The app also asks again when you come back to it after more than 5 minutes in the background.
Screenshots
The payslip, government ID and loan screens block screenshots and screen recording, so your pay and ID details don’t end up in your photo gallery.
Notifications
The app sends notifications when your payslip is ready, your leave is decided or a document is sent to you. Notifications never show amounts. To turn them off, change Panatag’s notification setting in your phone’s settings.
Past notifications are under More → Notifications.
Privacy and clock-in photos
Go to More → Privacy to:
- Give or withdraw consent for clock-in photos. Withdrawing stops new photos, and your employer sees the change.
- Read the Privacy policy and Terms of service.
Sign out
Go to More and tap Sign out. Before signing out, the app makes one last attempt to send any punches that haven’t synced. It then clears those unsent punches and any payslips or documents you downloaded from the phone. If you punched while offline, get back online and let the app sync before you sign out, or ask HR to add the missing punch.
Delete your account
- Go to More → Privacy.
- Tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete my account.
This deletes your Panatag login and signs you out on every device. Your employer keeps your employee record, payslips and attendance, because payroll law requires them to. Your HR team can invite you again later.
If you’re an owner, admin or HR user, email support@panatag.app instead. More details are at panatag.app/account-deletion.
